Never an out of pocket expense. I quit rather easily. Quit drinking back in 94 (after excessive use). No problem quitting...only drink now in rare occasions. Cigarettes...man, I smoke for ALL the reasons they list. I just can't quit...and I know it's killing me. Bagz...you do know weed is just as bad for the lungs as cigarettes are right? Cigs and gambling...can't shake these evil degenerate habits.

One fat fuck friend used to put out your cig when you weren't looking, always yakking about how easy it should be to stop. So I made him a bet. 6 months. I stop smoking, he stops eating long enough to lose 40 lbs. Every friend I have in the world heard me swear to do it. Next morning, grabbing 1st cup of coffee, and I start looking at the cabinet where I had socked away 5 cartons of cigs I bought in St Thomas ($1.80 carton) from honeymoon in San Juan. Half way thru that cup of coffee I got up, opened the carton, then opened a pack and lit the cig. Can't ever quite describe it, but something inside me made me feel like the lowest piece of shit in the world, not having the stamina to last more than 15 fucking minutes. I felt so ashamed that I put out that cig and never smoked again. Took almost no will power at all, just that something inside me did the trick.
